Communication Policy
A corner stone of our business is Communication. It is always on our radar as an area of improvement/development.
Text Messages
Text messaging is a very quick and effective way to communicate. We use text messages to advise patients to contact the surgery about results, appointments etc. Your permission will always to sought, as will confirmation of your correct mobile number. Your privacy will always be respected as will your wish not to be texted should this be the case. Please be assured of our commitment to always maintain absolute confidentiality when dealing with any medical information.
Returning Patient’s Telephone Calls
It is no longer possible for our GP’s to return calls to patients. If you need to get a message to your GP or update them on a previous query which does not necessitate a visit we can send your GP a brief message on your behalf. If further action is required it would be advisable to make an appointment instead.
Obtaining Test Results
Please note that some routine blood tests may take up to 14 working days to be processed. Your GP may make contact with you either by phone or by text when ALL your blood results are back, however there is dedicated results phone in service, managed by our Practice Nurse, Denise. This service is operational from Tuesday to Friday mornings from 12pm to 1pm and the number to call is 086 2047305
It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure they have received their results.
For ultrasounds, x-ray’s and MRI results please leave your details with our reception team who will ensure you are contacted with your results either by text or by phone.
Please be assured of our goodwill at all times
Patient Feedback
As always, your feedback is valued and welcomed, so please feel free to drop a note into our comments box in the waiting room or simply tell the girls at reception. They will be only too happy to pass it on.
